About Us

The Adventist Food Buying Club (AFBC) is a not-for-profit organization located in Crossville, TN, that provides access to healthy foods at wholesale prices.  Groceries and related health items are ordered by individual members through United Natural Foods (UNFI), and the group’s order is delivered every four weeks to the Adventist Family Life Center, located behind Crossville’s Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Since there is no paid staff, each member contributes to the collective work load by performing a job that is assigned by the club coordinator. Dues are very reasonable; a $20 lifetime membership per individual, couple, or family, and a small fee (currently 2%) is added to each order to cover ongoing expenses.

Membership is open to all individuals or families interested in purchasing healthy foods while working together in a cooperative environment. Although the club is sponsored by the Health Ministries of the Adventist Church, which provides the location for the food pickups, there is no requirement to be a member of, or have any affiliation with, the Adventist church to join AFBC.
